A recent study conducted in China and the UK led by Professor Liming Li and Dr Canqing Yu from the School of Public Health, Peking University Health Sciences Center found a close link between egg consumption and heart disease.

From the data available, researchers found that people who consume an egg every day, they are less exposed to heart disease.

The study was conducted from 2004 to 2008 involving half a million people aged 30 to 79 years in 10 regions in China, as quoted Women's Health Mag, Thursday (24/05/2018).

Researchers also found that people who eat eggs avoid the risk of other deadly diseases such as stroke. Interestingly, these people can also have ideal body weight and better immune system.

"The study found that there is a close relationship between moderate levels of egg consumption (up to 1 egg each day) and the risk of heart disease, those who eat eggs have lower cardiac risk," write the investigators.

Of course, egg consumption alone is not enough to prevent heart risks. Applying a healthy lifestyle, having enough rest and exercise, avoiding cigarettes, avoiding stress and consuming various supplements that boost the immune system remains essential to avoid the risk of heart disease.
