This is the Most Vulnerable Password Rows Hacked Throughout 2017

debeddy.net - The password application provider, Dashlane, has just released a list of frequently used and vulnerable passwords throughout 2017. In fact, some of them are very predictable.

"It's hard for humans to memorize complex passwords, so they prefer easy-to-create passwords, which is dangerous," said Gang Wang, a Virginia Tech researcher.

"If so, the easy password will be found quickly by hackers, they will use this gap as a tool to hack the owner's account," he added explaining.

Wang also revealed some of the most easily broken passwords in 2017. Among them are "qwerty", "123456", and combination passwords like "1q2w3e4r" and "zaq12wsx".

In addition, passwords with aggressive and vulgar pitched words are also easily hacked. As for some of them like "iloveyou", "f * ckyou", "ihateyou", and "bullsh * t".

Other Passwords

Meanwhile, passwords associated with a brand, movie, social media, was also often used. Some of them, like "myspace", "linkedin", "playboy", "cocacola", "superman", "pokemon", and "starwars".

There are also passwords used with football club names, such as "arsenal", "liverpool" and "chelsea".

How to Create a Complex Password

Dashlane also offers tips for users to create a complicated but memorable combination of passwords. Here's how.

  • Use unique password combinations for each account
  • Create a password of at least eight characters
  • Create passwords with a combination of case-sensitive letters, numbers, and special symbols
  • Avoid using easy passwords, such as using certain words, slang languages, place names, people's names
  • Never use a Wi-Fi connection when logging in with a password
