wholesale-reviews.org - Being fired from a job that is being done is certainly a nightmare for most people. But not for billionaire Stephen Ross who considers his dismissal as one of the best experiences of his life.

"Being fired from Bear Stearns is the best thing that ever happened to me, to succeed, the streets that go through will not be straight, there must be many obstacles in the way," he explained as quoted by CNN Money, Thursday (24/4/2018).

Ross first worked at a stockbroking firm, Laird in New York. It did not go that long. The company encountered a problem and he was eventually dismissed. The property boss went to work at Bear Stearns. Just like his first job, he did not last long there.

At the investment bank, Ross had an argument with his boss who did not want Ross to take responsibility for the project he was working on. Ross also lost control and was very angry.

"I scolded him with harsh words, so I caused myself to be fired," he said.

The billionaire who now has a total property of USD 7.6 billion or Rp 105.7 trillion then becomes unemployed and desperate to live in New York. (USD 1 = Rp 13,909)

At that time he had no money and felt no one was interested in hiring him. Nor did he want to repeat the process again. "I finally changed the destination, I borrowed USD 10 thousand from my mother and started building the property company, The Related Companies, in 1972," he explained.

Despite getting an offer from a number of investors, Ross wants to control his own company. He says, the more he works hard, the more his desire to build his business.

Through Related, Ross was involved in New York development. Related build Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle, a tourist center located very near from Central Park. Success keeps Ross looking for more than what he has.

"We have lost and got up again, I have a very strong determination to continue to achieve greater success," he said.
